Gunsite Academy now has registration open for its Home Defense 2016 course. The course has been designed to meet the needs of everyday American citizens and help prepare them for all aspects of a possible home invasion. Gunsite staff have at least 20 years of experience in the military or law enforcement.

The Home Defense Pistol course is 5 days, from Oct. 3 to 7, and will be broken down into classroom presentations, range drills and indoor simulator training. You’ll get all the information you need to plan and prepare for a home intrusion.

Participants will also learn how to handle emergency medical situations, like treating a gunshot. Also be prepared to get tips and tactics on how to use your pistol. Linking up with law enforcement is a vital part of many emergencies, so during this course you can find out what to expect.

All of the concepts on home defense learned during the week will be tested in scenarios using Simunitions by the week’s end.

The prerequisite for this class is Gunsite’s 250 Pistol Class with Crimson Trace Laser.
