Tired of reading headlines about our government’s lack of securing our people and our borders from illegal immigrants? So are we! That’s why we are proud to put a spotlight on 23-year-old entrepreneur Mykhaylo Panchishak, who came to the U.S. from war-torn Ukraine 12 years ago. Mykhaylo’s story is uplifting and inspirational to any and all who still believe in the cornerstones of America’s founding: life, liberty and the pursuit of happy, self-reliant living.

Want To Be Like Myk

In 2000, Mykhaylo’s father, an orthopedic surgeon, immigrated to the U.S. solo. In 2004, Mykhalo’s mom, who is a nurse by trade, along with her four children, immigrated to the country that promises if you work hard using your God-given talents, make sound life decisions through study and learning, love and respect others the way you want to be loved and respected, then nothing in life is unattainable.

As an energetic teenager, Mykhaylo worked construction jobs with his father, who learned the carpentry trade upon his arrival in the U.S., to do his part to help his family of six pay the rent and put food on the table. His mother started as a cleaning lady and is now a full-time nanny.

Mykhaylo then went on to Manhattan College to pursue a civil engineering degree. During that time, he started a rental-property business in the state capital, Albany, while continuing to work construction side jobs, where he gained experience and knowledge about residential home building.

Fresh Venture

In January 2015, Mykhaylo took things to the next level with the start of American Hybrid Homes (AHH).  AHH’s mission is to redefine the phrase “green energy.” Green energy to most means “environmentally friendly power.” Mykhaylo is more about going with what you have—a 1960s-built home, for instance—but enhancing it. In his words, “To us, green energy is not just the creation of energy, but also preservation of the energy that’s already being used in your home. We focus on the house as a whole to make sure that the air that you pay to heat in the winter and cool in the summer does not leak into your attic space.”

Home air comes and it goes, and when it goes so does your bankbook’s balance. Using diagnostic equipment, AHH’s certified pros locate the areas of the home where energy is escaping, and then create a plan to make sure that your home gets fixed in proper order. It’s all about the science of air movement and air containment.

Community Comfort

Mykhaylo’s new company is already making an impact on homeowners’ comfort levels (and savings-account levels) in the Hudson Valley region of New York where the summers are sweltering and the winters are often long, snowy and brutally cold. Check out AHH’s testimonials page on americanhybridhomes.com.

Here’s the kicker, Mykhaylo is helping U.S. veterans, too. He said that many companies today don’t really start giving back to our soldiers until they’ve “made it big.” He sees things much differently. AHH has a lifetime discount of 25 percent for vets. In addition, for every 10 jobs AHH does in Dutchess County, New York, it does one free of charge for a veteran in need. The same rule applies in the neighboring county of Putnam. In both counties, AHH works with the “Return the F.A.V.O.R.” program, which helps Mykhaylo locate families in need.

Bright Future

AHH had another program in place during the summer of 2015. Plant A Seed goes like this: AHH does one job at a 50-percent discount on a given street where the company has yet to do any other jobs. He said, “We believe in our services so much that we are not afraid to offer such deals. We know that when we come back in the winter and get a testimonial it will be a strong one. We can use that testimonial and the savings [AHH guarantees a 20-percent savings on every job it does] results and go to the neighbors to promote our services.”

Mykhaylo said that each morning he reads a Steve Jobs quote about innovative people that ends as follows, “They push the human race forward, and while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think that they can change the world, are the ones who do.”

TNP sure believes Mykhalo’s vision to redefine green energy is admirable, and if his American spirit and drive to succeed are indicative, there’s no question he’ll meet his quest in the years to come. For more, visit americanhybridhomes.com or call 888-280-7275.
