And now for something completely different: an airplane house. In the late 1990s, Bruce Campbell of Oregon purchased a Boeing 727, paying $100,000. He then made a house of it, installing a bathroom, kitchen and a sleeping area. The plane offers 1,066 square feet of living space. Campbell, an electrical engineer, runs a website, airplanehome.com, and welcomes visitors.
