To quote the hit HBO show Game of Thrones: “Winter is coming!”
Last year’s winter brought several snowstorms with it, setting records in a number of cities across the country. It also was one of the coldest winters in recent memory. In fact, according to AccuWeather Senior Meteorologist Dave Dombek, the winter of 2013-14 was one of the coldest winters in 20 years.”
“It’s probably the coldest the Northeast has seen since 1993-94,” Dombek said.
With snowfalls approaching annual all-time record highs in many of the major metropolitan areas across the country, the winter season has shattered expense records in the North.
