Based in Florida, Safety Harbor Firearms aims at manufacturing guns for enthusiastic shooters who want something a little different out of their shooting experience.
SHF started production of .50 cal upper conversions (SHTF 50) in 2003. In 2005 production on their complete rifles (SHF R/S50) began.
Since then SHF has also included KEG (Kompact Entry Gun) AOW shotguns from the Remington 870 and Mossberg 500 to their line up.
One such shotgun is the KEG12. Based on the Mossberg 500 type action, this KEG12 is available with a 7″ or 10″ barrel. This gun is classed as AOW (All Other Weapons) and so does not carry the hefty $200 stamp required to purchase Short Barreled Shotguns in the USA. An AOW tax stamp is only $5.
The 7″ barrel model has a capacity of 2+1, the 10″ barrel model has a capacity of 3+1. The folding grip is standard on both barrel lengths. The KEG12 is available in 12, 20 or .410 Ga.
MSRP for the Safety Harbor Firearms KEG12 is $780.00
