The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is all about preparedness — and nothing is bigger for FEMA than National PrepareAthon! Day.

FEMA has released a digital engagement toolkit that is designed to help individuals and organizations use social media channels to promote America’s PrepareAthon!, share their preparedness activities, and join the national conversation leading up to the April 30, National PrepareAthon! Day.

The toolkit includes sample tweets, Facebook posts and Instagram messages to help you build momentum.

Users can customize content in the Spring 2015 Social Media Toolkit for their organization or community to make the most impact!

To go along with the social media toolkit, FEMA has also released a video about surviving a major disaster. The video calls upon the perspective of three survivors from three recent natural disasters: Hurricane Sandy; the Moore, Oklahoma tornado; and the Poinsettia Wildfire outside of San Diego. Watch the video above.
