If you’ve ever thought about making your own salad from scratch in the comfort of your home, there’s one way you can start. This gardening kit isn’t the first of its kind, but Ikea launched a new hydroponic indoor gardening kit for you to plant your seeds and watch them grow. So, what is hydroponic? Well, according to Ikea’s website, it just means that you can grow plants in water without using soil, but, with the perfect lighting and additional nutrients, you can grow your vegetables all year-round.

The kit, Krydda/Växer series was created by agricultural scientists in Sweden and all it requires is for you to keep your eye on the water level and provide a good amount of sunshine for your garden to grow.

According to Helena Karlén from the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences:

The challenge was to make growing plants in a hydroponics system simple, so that anyone could succeed.
